Bloc Party with Hot Hot Heat

I'm so happy that I finally see Bloc Party in concert! I was originally going to see them last September, but due to my illness at that time, I didn't have the energy. Even though currently I'm suffering a throat infection, I brave the elements and have Deanne pick me up. Originally I was going to be Sandra's plus one, but she thinks I gave her my illness. The thing is, I only have a throat infection and have no other flu-like symptoms. Long story short, I am on the guest list and Deanne becomes my plus one. We arrive as Hot Hot Heat are performing. I'm not too impressed with their sound and am more focused on having a drink or two. My luck with money continues, though I don't find money, but I find two drink tickets, which are worth $10, so it's almost as good as cash. After a couple of drinks, we're loose and ready for Bloc Party. They put on an energetic show, the music really making us want to dance. Unfortunately I wasn't a fan of their stage presence and lighting. It was run-of-the-mill strobe lighting which proved difficult for me to take any good photos. Once again I cave in and buy another shirt...I just couldn't resist the toy blocks on the Bloc Party shirt!
